Genocide in Gaza? Amnesty International Demands Justice and Action.

Amnesty International, in a historical statement, has concluded that the actions of Israel in Gaza amount to genocide. The organization calls on all nations to immediately cease arms transfers to Israel in order to avert further loss of life with grave violations of international law.
Amnesty International conclusion rests on the report of an extensive investigation into Israel’s military operations in the Gaza Strip. It reveals patterns of destruction, displacement and civilian casualties that the organization deems to constitute genocide under international law thus including the deliberate targeting of civilian infrastructure the disproportionate use of force and the systematic denial of basic resources to the people of Gaza.
The findings of Amnesty International add to an ever-increasing picture of evidence pointing to an urgent need for accountability in conflict zones. Such an accusation of genocide raises not only questions about the conduct of Israel but also the conduct of the international community itself in upholding justice and civilian protection.
By releasing this report, Amnesty International firmly reasserts the human cost of conflicts. This should remind governments, organizations and individuals among others, all their responsibilities in ensuring peace and justice. While the world looks on one last question lingers
The question is will anybody do anything?
